Viktor Johansson from PDC Construction AB was busy breaking rocks when a 10 ton boulder worked loose and came crashing down over the cab. The side screen in toughened glass was smashed, but the front screens in Hammerglass were completely undamaged and could be fitted into the next machine.
– I managed to reverse 70 cm when this boulder (4x2,5x1 m) slid down over the vehicle. I pulled my legs aside and managed to get away with just a couple of bruises on my thighs. But the cab itself looks like a concertina. I could easily have suffered severe facial injuries from the glass splinters if there had not been Hammerglass in the front screen.

– We replaced the windows to Hammerglass in all machines gradually, as the old screens got smashed. I’m so tired of having the cab full of glass splinters, but now we’re almost completely free of it.
