Electrical protective roof structure on both sides of the bridge over the railway tracks at Karlskrona, Sweden. The protective shield construction consists of 12 mm Hammerglass mounted on a system of angled posts bolted to the side of the bridge edge girder.
The construction is strength-calculated to allow for snow and wind load and wind load from trains. The watertight and tamper-proof solution conforms to the electrical safety guidelines for electrically protective roof structures for installation on bridges over railways.
The project was commissioned by the Swedish Transport Administration.
